We are just weeks away from Recruitment, and Panhellenic couldn't be any more excited! With Recruitment being hybrid this year, we put together a guide of what is appropriate to wear during both the online and in-person days. Just a reminder that you don't have to go out and purchase the exact clothing items we use as examples or new clothes in general, use them as inspiration! It's completely up to you what colors and styles of items you feel your most comfortable and confident in!
Here's your guide on how to dress for Recruitment, and remember; be confident, cute and comfortable!
DAY 1 - ORIENTATION
Orientation is on Zoom but look presentable! Casual is okay, but remember to be present and ready to learn more about Recruitment.
DAY 2 - PHILANTHROPY
A nice top or blouse is perfect! Philanthropy is the first day you will actually be interacting with the chapters via Zoom, so a top that you would want to take a headshot is great. You can also think of it as senior pictures 2.0. Most of Panhellenic will also be wearing sweatpants, feel free to join us!
TIPS FOR ZOOM DAYS:
Have a plain background
Have good lighting (have the lights in front of you, not behind)
Wear a blouse or shirt that looks presentable in the camera view
Make sure your hair looks well groomed
Don't be in a loud environment where you can't hear the conversations
Don’t look like you just rolled out of bed
Don't have a lot of people distracting you
Don’t cover up your face (hats, bad lighting, etc.)
Ensure that the shirt you are wearing is visible (don’t look naked)
HOW THE CHAPTER WILL SEE YOU:
DAY 3 - SISTERHOOD
This is the first day you will be able to interact with chapters in person (YAY!!). Sisterhood day usually calls for a range of fun outfits, and remember that it's completely up to you what colors and styles of items you want to wear. We recommend anything from sundresses, rompers, jumpsuits, pants and a blouse, or a skirt and a nice shirt! However, please refrain from wearing crops tops if you decide to go the pants/skirt route. It's important to note that you are formally dressing to join a sorority, not a night out. Whatever you will feel most comfortable wearing all day is exactly what you should wear!
DAY 4 - PREFERENCE DAY
This the most dressy day for them all. We would suggest dresses, jumpsuits, or nice pants/skirt + shirt. Again, please feel free to wear whatever colors you want!
Thank you for reading! We hope this helped you prepare for what to wear during Recruitment! As always, if you have any questions, please email email@example.com!
